LSA NEWS – SUMMER 2010
New Bill Format We have coverted our Water and Sewer Billing over to a new format to eliminate the postcard mailings. The new bills are a pressure-sealed z-fold format and will be less likely to get lost in other mail. The first bills in this new format will be sent out the first week of August. If you have any questions about the new bill, please contact us at 610-317-3212 or by e-mail at billing@lowersauconauthority.org.
Main Replacement Project - Sanbrook Drive During June and July 2010, the Authority crew is installed some 900 feet of 8-inch cement-lined Ductile Iron Water Main, assorted valves and a new fire hydrant on Sanbrook Drive as our 2010 main replacement project . At the end of July, all tie-ins have been made and the new main is in service. The area is being prepeared for re-seeding in August. Thanks to all the residents for their patience and understanding as we did the work. This is part of a continuing infrastructure replacement and renewal program.

Consumer Confidence (CCR) / Water Quality Report The annual CCR Report for calendar year 2009 was mailed Monday June 14, 2010 to all Lower Saucon Authority water customers. It describes water quality test results taken by Authority technicians and our water supplier, the City of Bethlehem, within the system throughout 2009. A copy of the report is currently attached to this website and can be accessed by following the highlighted link above. It is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file and can be read using the free Acrobat Reader available online at www.adobe.com. Customers desiring an extra paper copy should contact the Authority office. The report, required by a 1996 amendment to the Clean Water Act, provides detailed information on the source of the water in the system and testing results / water quality in the system.
